Company history and services
azb ag (arbeitsmedizinisches zentrum basel) is a company founded in 2009 that offers occupational health services and traffic medical examinations for companies, organizations and private individuals in the greater Basle area.
In addition to company medical care for large companies and small and medium-sized companies, the range of services also includes medical examiner activities for the cantonal road traffic authorities, the Federal Office of Transport (BAV), the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and the Federal Office for Civil Aviation (BAZL), the Australian Civil Aviation Authority (CASA), the Swiss Maritime Navigation Office (SSA), the Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine (ZKR), as well as suitability assessments for fire brigades, training for emergency workers and much more.
azb ag was founded as a family business by Dr. med. Steffen Geiger (specialist in occupational medicine, formerly employed by Ciba/ BASF Schweizerhalle AG) and Petra Geiger (medical technologist). On January 1st 2026, the service company was transferred to Sanacare AG and has since then been continued as an independent subsidiary.
Our multi-professional team consists of employees from different departments who complement each other perfectly.
We have set ourselves the goal of offering our customers a comprehensive range of services and at the same time guaranteeing optimal individual service.
